The Role As a Manual Turner, you will be a vital part of the manufacturing team, responsible for producing high-quality, precision-engineered components. Your work will have a direct impact on the performance and reliability of highly specialised products.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and operating manual turning machines to produce components in line with detailed engineering drawings and specifications
- Monitoring machine performance and making precise adjustments to ensure consistent accuracy and adherence to tight tolerances
- Inspecting finished components using appropriate measuring equipment to ensure they meet exact quality standards
- Working closely with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities to optimise manufacturing processes and improve efficiency
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment, fully adhering to company health and safety protocols
The Candidate Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Manual Turner within a precision engineering environment
- Experience with manual milling would be advantageous but is not essential
- Demonstrated success in producing complex components to high levels of precision and quality
Skills:
- Strong, hands-on knowledge of manual turning techniques and machinery operation
- Good understanding of a range of materials, cutting tools, and machining processes
- Competence in using precision measuring instruments to verify accuracy and quality
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges
- High attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional workmanship
Location & Working Hours Based at a brand-new, purpose-built manufacturing facility in East Sussex, the company is entering an exciting new phase of growth and development—making this a great time to join and make an impact.

- Flexible working hours available
- Early finish at 12 noon every Friday, supporting a great work-life balance
