The Role

The Manual Turner will be responsible for producing high-quality components within a machine shop environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting and operating manual lathes
  • Producing one-off and small-batch precision components
  • Working from engineering drawings
  • Measuring and inspecting parts to tight tolerances
  • Maintaining a clean, safe working environment

About You

To be suitable for this Manual Turner role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Manual Turner
  • Confidence working from technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • A reliable, self-motivated approach
  • Experience using Colchester manual lathes

Desirable:

  • Welding experience
