Manual Turner

JRS Associates have partnered with an established precision engineering company specialising in one-off, high-precision parts. We are recruiting a time-served and qualified Manual Turner to join their expert team, working with high-grade materials such as stainless steel and duplex.
The Successful Manual Turner - Package:

Hourly Rate: £17.50 – £18.50 per hour (£34,500 to £36,500 per annum)

Hours: 38 hrs per week

Mon–Thurs: 8.00am – 4.30pm

Friday: 8.00am – 2.30pm

Overtime: Available (1 hr mornings & Saturday mornings, workload dependent)

Travel Support: Tunnel pass (Mersey) or Bridge pass (Runcorn area) provided; mileage allowance of £80–£100 per month for those travelling 20+ miles (e.g. Wrexham, North Wales).
The Successful Manual Turner - Duties & Responsibilities:

Precision turning on traditional/manual lathes including Dean Smith & Grace, Colchester Mastiff, and Ajax machines.

Training provided to operate a Proturn XYZ lathe (primary machine).

Working to tight tolerances on bespoke, one-off high precision components.

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Skilled in working with stainless steel, duplex, and other specialist materials.
