Gainsborough – £38-42k plus O/T – days only

This position is for a skilled manual machinist, but our client is looking for someone who can run the department in time. If you have the required technical capabilities and already have supervisory experience – please apply stating your salary expectations, we will negotiate the salary at submission.

The responsibilities:

The manual machinist must be an experienced conventional miller and turner. Working with a range of materials, manufacturing one-offs or low runs, with an individual weight of up to 35 tons for a range of industries including agriculture, rail, petrochemical and transport.

Setting and running centre lathes, milling and machines. Making sure you meet daily production and quality targets as well as ensuring that all work is carried out within health and safety guidelines.

To be successful, the manual machinist will have:

Previous experience setting and running centre lathes and milling machines within a production environment. You will be used to machining small to medium sized parts in a range of metals.

Excellent attention to detail and a professional “can do” approach.

Salary: £38-42k plus O/T – days only – negotiable for a more senior machinist.

Hours: 8am-5pm Monday to Friday

Payrate and overtime: £18-20p/hr DOE plus overtime of x1.5 over 40 hours

Holidays: 20 per year plus bank holidays
