Reed Engineering and Manufacturing are delighted to be working with a leading Engineering and Metals business in Sheffield who are looking to recruit an experienced Manual Machinist to join their Machine Shop team.Manual MachinistSheffield - Competitive salaryThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist to work with specialist high-performance alloys, producing precision-engineered components within a quality-focused manufacturing environment.The RoleReporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for machining components to an exceptionally high standard, ensuring customer specifications, quality requirements, and production targets are consistently achieved.You will utilise your manual machining skills and engineering knowledge to manufacture precision components from technical drawings, working with a variety of materials, including high-grade alloys such as Inconel 718.Key ResponsibilitiesManufacture precision components from engineering drawings and specifications.Operate manual lathes safely and efficiently.Machine components to tight tolerances and exact customer requirements.Select and utilise appropriate tooling, feeds and speeds to optimise machining performance.Inspect completed components to ensure compliance with quality standards.Work in accordance with company quality procedures and manufacturing standards.Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.Achieve production targets and estimated machining times.Troubleshoot ..... full job details .....
