Manual Machining Training Instructor

Our client is seeking a Manual Machining Training Instructor to support the development of the next generation of marine engineers within a structured marine engineering education environment at Gosport. This permanent, full-time role offers an experienced engineering professional the opportunity to use practical workshop expertise to coach and inspire trainees. Full teacher training and ongoing support will be provided, so previous teaching experience is not essential.Key Responsibilities:Delivering high-quality training in mechanical craft, fabrication and core engineering competenciesIntroducing and developing practical hand skills, including fitting and filingTeaching trainees to interpret and understand basic technical drawingsProviding instruction on the safe use of workshop equipment, hand tools and machineryPromoting and embedding high standards of workshop health and safetyCoaching, mentoring and providing constructive feedback to support trainee progressMaintaining accurate training records and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environmentJob Requirements:Strong engineering background, preferably in mechanical engineering or fabricationRelevant engineering qualification at Level 3 or abovePractical workshop experience and confidence using hand tools and machineryUnderstanding of mechanical craft, fabrication and basic technical drawingsProficiency in using IT hardware and softwareStrong communication skills and a genuine passion for developing ..... full job details .....
