Responsibilities, Interpret 2D drawings and specificationsPlan and work out machining features and sequences.Select correct machines, tools, speeds, feeds, and lubricants.Set up, locate, and clamp workpieces (centres, banding and steadies).Perform dimensional inspection and layout "mark off".Inspect components at various stages to ensure quality standards.Trouble shoot and make necessary adjustments.Deburr components for safe material movement.Operate overhead cranes (LOLER training provided).Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised workplace.Perform TPM activities (swarf removal, coolant routines, oiling/greasing).Monitor and maintain consumable stock levels.Carry out daily bookings against route card jobs.Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
