Managing Quantity Surveyor

We''re looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team based in Gerrards Cross working on the Thames Water framework Location: Gerrards Cross, mixture of home and office working along with occasional travel to various sites in the Thames Valley region Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. What will you be responsible for? As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you''ll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in ensuring cost-effectiveness and regulatory compliance whilst helping to deliver projects that maintain and improve vital public services. Your day to day will include: Ensuring timely and monthly cost value reconciliations, cashflow monitoring, monthly and quarterly forecasts are produced Prepare project budgets, develop cost plans and estimate the quantities and costs of materials, time and labour required for the projectsUnderstand and implement the contractual obligationsPreparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and helping select contractors and subcontractors. Ensure that procurement follows Thames Water policies and procedures Negotiate contract terms with clients, contractors and other relevant parties.
