Managing Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor for a 12-month contract based in Teesside, Middlesbrough (with options for project-based or regional office flexibility).Rate: 650 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 450 a day (PAYE)Start Date: ASAPHours: 37.5 hours per weekIn this role, you will have significant experience managing contracts and costs for infrastructure and civil engineering projects, actively working to minimise project costs and enhance value for money.Key ResponsibilitiesContract Administration: Administer and manage NEC contracts, measure, record, and value work unsupervised, and handle applications for payment and final account procedures.Cost and Financial Management: Use and manage project accounting systems, monitor costs, and produce cost vs. value reconciliations (CVRs).Procurement and Supply Chain: Handle end-to-end supplier procurement, supply chain management, and value-for-money assurance.Risk and Team Support: Identify and manage risk collaboratively with the project team while providing professional guidance and development support to junior commercial team members.Requirements and QualificationsCore Qualifications: BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).Professional Status: Typically chartered or in the final stages of achieving professional membership of the RICS (or equivalent).Experience and Qualities: Strong leadership skills, analytical thinking, robust industry knowledge, and a strong ..... full job details .....
