Managing Engineer

Invision Recruitment are currently working with a large specialist civil engineering contractor who are seeking to recruit a Managing Engineer due to increased workload.-

The-Managing Engineer-serves as a senior leader within the engineering department, responsible for-overseeing a team of site engineers across multiple projects. My client is seeking an individual that want''s to be with the business for a long time.

Work Area

My client have an influx of new work starting around Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, West London (M25) and North Hampshire. The Managing Engineer will work across 2-4 projects at any time in this area. Package values are typically -5m20m.

Travel across their portfolio will be expected as necessary and this is a non negotiable.-

Type of Work

You will coordinate-complex civil engineering and groundworks packages across Major Commercial projects including Industrial, Government and High Tech Engineering including Data Centres and Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

You will act as a critical link between the technical site teams and senior management, such as-Contracts Managers and Operations Directors.-

The role is multifaceted, blending technical expertise with high-level management:-

• Managing and mentoring a dedicated team of-Site Engineers-and-Senior Site Engineers. Coaching, Guiding and ensuring high standards of work.-
• Leading projects from the initial concept and enabling works through to final completion.
• Ensuring all site teams provide accurate and timely information, including producing site levels, reference lines, and complex-highways and drainage designs.
• Acting as a primary point of contact for main contractors and internal site teams in regards to engineering to resolve technical queries (RFI) and verbal instructions (CVI).
• Overseeing standards in regards to quality inspections, checks, and ensuring strict adherence to Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and safety regulations.
• Value Engineering-
• Applying strong financial management skills to keep projects within budget

Requirements

• Proven as a Senior Engineer - 3/5 years at this level or currently undertaking a similar role as a Managing Engineer
• Strong IT Skills - Familiar with AutoCAD and relevant Documentation systems
• Strong work ethic
• Full Clean UK Driving Licence
• Relevant Project Experience which is largely within the Commercial Sector, pure housing experience won''t be considered for this.-
