dentsu .The Managing Director of Data Solutions plays a pivotal leadership role within Dentsu’s Marketing Science practice, responsible for the strategic growth, delivery excellence, and commercial success of our data-driven solutions. As maternity cover, this role will oversee a team of 22 specialists spanning three core capabilities: Data Visualization, Data Intelligence, and Consulting. Acting as a senior client partner, the MD leads day-to-day client engagement for key accounts, ensuring our data and technology offering is both visionary and grounded in business impact.This is a hands-on leadership position requiring deep cross-functional coordination, commercial expertise, and a forward-thinking approach to innovation and delivery. The role may also contribute to new business growth by supporting pitch activity alongside media teams or through strategic outreach to existing clients to expand Dentsu’s footprint.Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of 22 data specialists across Visualization, Intelligence, and Consulting; foster a high-performing, inclusive culture; manage structure, prioritization, and workflow for effective resourcing across high-value clients.Client Partnership and Delivery: Serve as the senior strategic lead for key client relationships; translate complex data challenges into actionable strategies and oversee implementation; ensure quality and clarity in client deliverables.Industry Leadership and Internal Influence: Represent Dentsu in external forums; strengthen brand reputation; build relationships across lines of business to embed data solutions into end-to-end client delivery.Commercial Growth and Innovation: Contribute to new business efforts and pitches; drive revenue through expanding client relationships and cross-sell opportunities; guide development and adoption of new data products and services and packaging of offerings.Skills and Experience
Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams across different capability areas and levels of experience.Strong client leadership skills with a track record of building trust and delivering high-impact strategies across data, tech, and analytics.Experience managing commercial delivery, revenue planning, and strategic account growth.Deep expertise in data strategy, measurement frameworks, and applied analytics.Confident presenting complex concepts and technical solutions to C-suite and senior stakeholders.Skilled at balancing strategic vision with operational execution, able to get into the details while keeping teams focused on the big picture.Excellent internal collaboration skills across product, media, tech, and creative disciplines.Location
