Managing Contract Engineer Location: Reading, RG2 0QX Salary: Up to 59,700 per annum, depending on experience Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday Questech Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Managing Contract Engineer to take responsibility for a key customer contract in Reading. This is a hands-on management role that combines commercial vehicle expertise with team leadership, customer service and operational management. You will lead a small team while ensuring vehicle maintenance, repairs and compliance work are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. The Role Manage the day-to-day operation of the customer contract Lead, support and develop a Contract Engineer Oversee commercial vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs Ensure vehicles are prepared for MOT inspections Make sure scheduled work and compliance documentation are completed on time Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the customer Manage workshop operations, stock control and housekeeping Maintain health and safety, quality and environmental standards Monitor workloads and performance against operational requirements Resolve issues and provide clear direction to the team The Successful Candidate Previous experience maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles Experience leading or supervising a workshop or technical team A good understanding of vehicle compliance and health and safety Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent customer service and ..... full job details .....
