Manager - Part Time

Could you help SoundCafe grow? SoundCafe Leicester is a small, friendly and ambitious charity which gives people who are homeless, vulnerable or socially isolated a regular opportunity to sing, be creative, meet people and feel part of a community. Our weekly sessions make a real difference to the people who attend. In 2024 we were honoured to receive the King''s Award for Voluntary Service. We are now looking for a Part-Time Manager to help us build on that success. What will you do? Working with our trustees, volunteers and partner organisations, you will help SoundCafe to: manage and develop our weekly creative cafe; support and encourage our volunteers; build relationships with partner organisations and funders; identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant applications; help develop SoundCafe; liase with, and support, the professional musician who leads our choir ensure our activities are well organised, inclusive and responsive to the people we support; and keep the trustees informed and involved It is a varied role, with plenty of opportunity to use your existing skills and to develop new ones. What are we looking for? We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable, capable and committed to making things happen. You will need good communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and experience of managing people, projects, activities or services.
