Job DescriptionThe RoleThis key strategic role is to support the expansion of our recent entry into the Individual Retirement Income market In the Netherlands.The role will focus on supporting the proposition development, sales, client relationships, structuring, execution and ongoing management of transactions in the Dutch individual retirement income market and other related projects that arise over time. Other projects will involve supporting the development of wider global longevity and funded flow propositions.Based in London, you will work with the VP Individual and Flow and the wider Individual Retirement Income and Continental Europe teams.You’ll be working in a company that values your technical skills, the innovative ideas and solutions you bring into the work you do, and your ability to communicate those ideas effectively. Partnering with our clients globally to provide stability and confidence in retirement .Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the development of innovative new retirement income propositions to leverage the opportunities presented by the reforms of the Dutch pension system. To include reinsurance pricing tools and potentially education and guidance tools, leveraging where possible global SandR and/or Pacific Life capabilities and technologyWorking closely and collaboratively with the Continental Europe team to build and own relationships with our clients – insurers, pension schemes, consultants, advisers and other key parties within the Dutch individual retirement market. Contribute to thought leadership pieces, as part of building a further growth strategy within this market.Develop, manage and secure new business opportunities, including working closely with the Continental Europe, Global SandR Insurance and Deal Pricing Teams to deliver timely, high-quality responses to client invitations to tender and/or proactive client pitches, meeting internal risk management standardsAssist and lead on parts of the further development of strategy for the Dutch individual retirement income market expansion and wider longevity and funded flow reinsurance propositionsSupport deal structuring efforts and transaction negotiations, working alongside pricing teams and our internal and external legal counsel. Support the operationalisation of new business flow opportunities and the ongoing management of flow deals once in place.Qualifications and ExpertiseEssential

FIA, FFA or equivalentPrior work experience in (re)insurance pricing or other technical teamsVery strong understanding of actuarial principles and processesVery strong technical, analytical and communication skills with a proven ability to understand and question pricing and / or capital bases.Good organisational and time management skillsIn depth understanding of risk frameworks and controls.High focus on Innovation and solution mindsetEnthusiastic, with a keen drive and focusDesirable
