Management Reporting Accountant
Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a well established and highly regarded organisation in Preston to recruit a newly created Management Reporting Accountant position.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a nearly or newly qualified accountant looking for a varied, commercially focused role that offers exposure well beyond a traditional finance role. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their experience across management reporting, data analysis, annual external reporting and the increasingly important area of sustainability.

The role offers significant scope to add value, identify efficiencies, introduce new ideas and contribute to business improvement initiatives across a forward-thinking finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing reporting packs and dashboards for key stakeholders.
- Providing financial analysis and insight to support business decision making.
- Business partnering with stakeholders across multiple divisions.
- Preparing and presenting financial information and reports to key stakeholders.
- Contributing to projects focused on sustainability, process improvement and strategic business objectives.
- Performing detailed balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
- Supporting annual external reporting and compliance requirements.
- Preparing and delivering accurate and timely monthly management accounts, supported by insightful analysis and commentary.
- Assisting the Financial Controller with ad hoc projects, reporting requirements and wider business improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and governance frameworks.
The ideal candidate will be a nearly or newly qualified accountant who is ambitious, commercially minded and keen to continue developing their career. You will be comfortable working in a hands-on environment and able to demonstrate:
- Experience preparing and presenting financial information and management reports to key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and effectively.
- A proactive and inquisitive approach, with a genuine willingness to learn and develop.
- The ability to adapt to changing requirements and manage competing priorities.
- Experience supporting projects that contribute to wider strategic business objectives.
- Proven stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong relationships across different areas of the business.
- A desire to identify opportunities, drive efficiencies and add value beyond the core responsibilities of the role.
