Management Accountant

The Opportunity Wolviston Management Services is recruiting a Management Accountant on behalf of a well-established company based in Hartlepool.Our client is a market-leading organisation serving a diverse customer base including commercial, agricultural, public sector and domestic customers. Due to continued growth and success, they are seeking an ambitious and proactive finance professional to join their finance team and play a key role in supporting financial performance and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this position offers the opportunity to take ownership of key accounting processes, contribute to business improvement initiatives and support strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis. Key Responsibilities Lead and support month-end accounting processes. Review and reconcile key financial schedules, including: Bank reconciliations Fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules Vehicle cost reporting Accrual and prepayment schedules Complete bad debt reviews and stock reconciliations. Perform payroll and pension reconciliations. Prepare accurate monthly management accounts with supporting commentary. Produce and review depot profit and loss reports. Conduct trial balance reviews and ensure all balances are supported. Review weekly payment runs and ensure timely banking submissions. Prepare RDCO analysis and reporting for commercial stakeholders.
