Management Accountant

Our client is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our finance team within a growing subscription-based business. This is a key role within the finance function, responsible for delivering accurate and timely management information, supporting month-end reporting and providing financial insight to help the business make informed commercial decisions. Working in a business with recurring subscription revenue, the successful candidate will have a good understanding of revenue recognition, deferred income, billing cycles and the importance of maintaining accurate financial data. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including PandL, balance sheet and cash flow reporting. Take ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring all reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals are completed accurately. Manage and reconcile subscription revenue, including recurring income, upgrades, cancellations, refunds and credits. Monitor and report on deferred and accrued revenue, ensuring revenue is recognised correctly in line with accounting principles. Analyse monthly recurring revenue (MRR), annual recurring revenue (ARR), customer churn and revenue trends. Prepare regular management reports and provide meaningful commentary on financial performance against budget and forecast.
