Management Accountant
£35,000 - £40,000 pa OTE package
Warwick - 37.50 hours per week, on-site role
Our business operates in the UK, Spain and Germany in the luxury sector.
We''re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Management Accountant to join our small team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with both people and accounts, has excellent Excel and analytical skills who wants to develop their accounting experience in a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Produce the monthly management accounts of our German company, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Manipulate, structure and analyse financial data to prepare it for reporting
- Create financial schedules, commentary and supporting documentation
- Complete month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain and update financial spreadsheets, reports and databases
- Identify opportunities to automate or streamline processes
- Overseeing the reconciliation of several multi-currency bank accounts
- Producing and submitting VAT returns for all companies in the countries we operate (UK, Spain and Germany)
- Monitoring and reporting movements of stock between different tax jurisdictions
- Producing other statutory reports as required
- Processing monthly payroll for the UK business, maintaining Group HR database
- Managing and reviewing the credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely processing
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Provide financial training and support to other departments as needed
- Supervising a team of two accounts assistants
What we are looking for
- Experience within a finance or accounting role (Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant, Finance Analyst)
- Excellent Excel skills - including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data manipulation
- Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail
- Good understanding of core accounting principles
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential)
- Part qualified AAT / ACCA / CIMA
- Experience with Sage 50 Payroll
- Experience with Kerridge (ADP Key-Loop) Autoline system
- Understanding of Spanish or German langua
