Management Accountant

Robert Walters - Management Accountant - Permanent - Birmingham - £55,000 per annum Our client, a well-established and growing business, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their senior finance team. This is a broad and commercially focused role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of financial planning, reporting, controls and business performance analysis. Working closely with operational stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant:Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including PandL, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.Oversee reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journal postings.Deliver commercial analysis on margins, product performance and cost structures.Maintain strong financial controls and ensure audit readiness.Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements, VAT regulations and statutory reporting obligations.Lead and develop operational staff while supporting training and development initiatives.Key essentials of the Management Accountant:Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)Proven experience producing management accounts and financial reportingAdvanced ExcelAt the Robert Walters Group, we endeavour to contact all candidates to register their details.
