Management Accountant

Management Accountant Location: Fully office-basedSalary: £40,000 per annum About the Role We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to join an established finance team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong understanding of management accounts, month-end processes and transactional finance, who is looking to take ownership of key areas of the finance function. Working closely with the wider finance team and internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for producing accurate financial information, supporting month-end reporting and providing meaningful analysis to help the business make informed decisions. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accounts are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines. Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and supporting schedules. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve variances. Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, journals and other month-end adjustments. Analyse financial performance, identifying key variances against budget and forecast. Produce regular management reports and financial analysis for senior stakeholders. Support budgeting and forecasting processes. Manage and review accounts payable and accounts receivable activity, ensuring the underlying ledgers remain accurate. Perform regular bank and control account reconciliations.
