Management Accountant - Manufacturing Location: Onsite - Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire Hours: Full-time Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 depending upon experience Reports to: Financial Controller Role Overview Our client, a state-of-the-art manufacturing business, based in rural North Yorkshire, is a seeking a proactive Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role is a wide-ranging, in a small finance team, which will support the business by producing accurate management information, analysing operational performance, and providing financial insight to help improve profitability, cost control, and decision-making across the organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with production, operations, purchasing, and senior management to provide clear financial analysis, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure robust month-end reporting processes. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including profit and loss reports, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journals. Drive month-end close processes and ensure reporting deadlines are met. Produce clear commentary on key financial results, trends, risks, opportunities, and variances against budget and forecast. Monitor capital expenditure, fixed asset registers, depreciation, and investment project costs. Assist with annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning.
