Management Accountant

RG Consultancy are working with a fantastic SME in Rochdale who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their finance team. You will join a small accounts team, being responsible for the company and management accounts, reporting into the Finance Manager. 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays Flexible working hours Free onsite carpark Pension scheme Role Responsibilities Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts Reviewing bookkeeping, ledgers and financial transactions Checking bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies Reviewing journals, accruals, prepayments and VAT reconciliations Supporting month-end and year-end processes Monitoring the accuracy of financial records Reviewing payroll and resolving accounting queries Providing financial reports and information to management Liaising with external accountants and auditors Improving accounting processes and financial controls Person Specification Experienced management accountant with at least 5 years'' experience within a similar role Strong IT skills along with strong MS Excel skills and experience with accounting packages incusing SAGE and SAGE Payroll Part or qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA Experience working within a retail, distribution or wholesale environment would be an advantage ..... full job details .....
