Management Accountant

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant to join a finance team supporting a complex, project-based organisation. This role combines core management accounting responsibilities with business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, and project finance support. Working closely with budget holders and project leads, you will provide high-quality financial information, support effective decision-making, and help ensure projects and departments are managed within budget. You will be responsible for preparing management accounts, supporting annual budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring financial performance, and providing insightful financial analysis. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders, translating complex financial information into practical guidance, while ensuring compliance with funding requirements, reporting obligations, and internal financial procedures. Key Responsibilities Produce monthly management accounts and financial analysis. Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Partner with budget holders and project leads to monitor performance and manage budgets. Provide financial reporting and insight to support decision-making. Ensure accurate financial management of projects, including reporting and funder compliance. Monitor income, expenditure, risks, and financial performance against targets.
