Management Accountant

Salary: £35,000 per annum to £40,000 per annum, depending on experienceLocation: Birmingham City CentreHours: 8.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday - office based 5 days per week12 Months Fixed Term Contract Are you a part-qualified accountant looking for a role where you can take real ownership and make a difference? We''re working with a growing business in Birmingham''s Jewellery Quarter who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join a small, collaborative Finance team. This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave and is a hands-on opportunity with genuine responsibility across management accounts, overhead analysis, stock reporting, month-end processes and commercial finance. You''ll work closely with the Financial Controller and key stakeholders across the wider business, using financial and system data to provide insight, improve reporting and help drive more efficient processes. This role would suit someone who is inquisitive, analytical and commercially minded, who enjoys understanding how things work and isn''t afraid to challenge processes and suggest improvements. As the Management Accountant, you will be: Preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss and balance sheet reporting Preparing monthly journals covering stock, depreciation, accruals and prepayments Reviewing overheads across 10 to 15 departments, including variance analysis and commentary Supporting the Operations and Manufacturing teams with the ..... full job details .....
