Management Accountant/ Practice Accountant

We are working with a boutique, fast-growing accountancy practice based in Ashford, specialising in high-tech start-ups, who have an exciting opportunity for a strong all-round accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys variety, likes working closely with clients and wants to be part of a progressive practice that works with ambitious and entrepreneurial businesses. The Role The successful candidate will take responsibility for a small portfolio of company clients and will have a varied role covering both management and compliance work. Key responsibilities will include: Preparing management accounts for a portfolio of company clients Managing day-to-day relationships with a small portfolio of clients Providing clients with commercially focused financial information and support Preparing and reviewing budgets and forecasts Handling income tax returns and accounts for sole traders Supporting the wider practice with general accounting and advisory work Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact Working closely with the wider team to deliver a high-quality service to clients Income tax and sole trader work represents a smaller part of the overall business, with the primary focus of the role being on company clients and management accounts.
