Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its finance team on a six-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking for a flexible part-time position. The organisation is seeking someone who can quickly take ownership of the management accounts process across multiple entities, ensuring reporting requirements are delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines.
The role will suit an experienced Management Accountant who enjoys working independently and can confidently manage a varied workload within a busy finance environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Preparing monthly management accounts for multiple entities.
• Supporting consolidated reporting and group financial reporting requirements.
• Producing financial analysis, reports and commentary to support decision-making.
• Investigating variances and identifying key trends and insights.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring financial records remain accurate and up to date.
• Monitoring balance sheet movements and highlighting any significant issues.
• Liaising with stakeholders across the business to provide financial support and information.
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Supporting audit requirements and statutory reporting processes.
• Contributing to finance process improvements and efficiencies.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
• ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualification, part qualification, or be qualified by experience.
• Previous experience producing management accounts within a commercial or group environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Experience working across multiple entities or business units would be advantageous.
Management experience is not essential. The primary requirement is the ability to produce high-quality management accounts efficiently and accurately.
