Reporting to the Group Finance Director they are looking to hire a Management Accountant who possesses genuine ambition and have created this role with 3 clear phases of development. Phase 1. To build your understanding of the two trading companies (combined t/o £15m) how are they operating and how does that feed into your responsibilities as Management Accountant. You will manage the full month end schedule, produce the management accounts pack with commentary, hold responsibility for budget and cash flow management and forecasting. Phase 2. Take more work from the Group FD, present in month end board meetings, preparation of the quarterly and annual budgets, work with the key commercial heads to increase understanding and manage the transactional finance team. Phase 3. Make the Group FDs input obsolete, essentially grow your responsibilities far beyond management accounting and show yourself operating at Financial Controller status, they will reward you in title, package and progression.
