Management Accountant (Part Qualified)

Anderson Knight is delighted to announce that they are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join a growing finance team in Glasgow on behalf of their client. Operating within the dynamic energy sector, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who is actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification and is looking to develop their career within a fast-paced, purpose-driven industry.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance and providing meaningful financial insight to operational stakeholders. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers but also wants to influence decision-making across the wider business.

Duties and Responsibilities of this role:
•    Prepare monthly management accounts and provide variance analysis
•    Operating and financial performance analysis
•    Assisting with month & year end close processes and procedures
•    Supporting budgeting and forecasting
•    Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations 
•    Support with cash flow forecasting and capital management
•    Working with internal teams to provide financial insight and support
•    Contributing to streamlining processes and driving efficiency
•    Develop and maintaining financial models and reporting tools to support business decision making
The Ideal Candidate should possess:
•    Actively studying toward completing ACCA/CIMA
•    Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
•    Strong understanding of management accounting principles
•    Strong Excel and Systems skills
•    Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
•    Experience with monthly reports and providing financial analysis
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
