Management Accountant

As a Management Accountant based in Southampton, you''ll play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting and providing valuable insights to support business decisions. This permanent role will see you working closely with the Accounting and Finance team to help the business run efficiently and achieve its objectives Client Details This company is based in Southampton. Description Management Accountant responsibilities: Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts to provide clear financial insights. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning. Maintain and reconcile financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Analyse variances and provide recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements. Support the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with auditors as required. Oversee cash flow management and assist with financial planning. Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems. Profile A successful Management Accountant should have: A recognised accounting qualification or part-qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data. Experience within the retail industry or a similar sector. Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
