As a Management Accountant, based in Banbury, you''ll handle the day-to-day financial operations that keep the business on track. This role involves managing budgets, analysing financial data, and supporting decision-making to ensure smooth financial performance.

Description

The Management Accountant''s responsibilities include:

• Produce monthly management accounts, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets for various entities.
• Lead month-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Maintain prepayment, accrual, stock, and fixed asset schedules, including depreciation calculations.
• Prepare and post journals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities alongside the Financial Controller.
• Deliver financial analysis and assist with performance reporting for online and overseas business operations.
• Prepare VAT returns, support cashflow reporting, assist with audits, and contribute to pricing analysis for international markets.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• A recognised accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in financial reporting and budgeting within the retail industry.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with different teams.

Job Offer

Benefits include:

• Salary between -45,000 and -50,000 dependent on the level of experience.
