Reporting to the Head of Finance of this Watford based Construction business, and working closely with the MD, this is a varied role with hands on responsibility for many aspects of finance, including preparation of management accounts for several entities. Key Accountabilities Responsibility for producing the monthly accounts for multiple entities within the group. PandL production, balancesheet reconciliations, accruals/prepayments, journal adjustments Supporting the Head of Finance with the month end close for the core business (and largest entity). Reconciling the cash books Bank reconciliations Compiling CIS returns and liaising with HMRC. VAT returns and submissions Supervising/managing members of the transactional team Support the Purchase ledger and sales ledger team where required, especially with regards to query resolution and process improvement Maintaining the Fixed Asset register including calculating depreciation Potential involvement in the budgeting process and Year End depending on your ambi...
