Management Accountant

Jacob Grey are exclusively partnered with a construction business in Watford to identify a new Management Accountant/Finance Manager for their busy finance function. Reporting to the Head of Finance of this Watford based Construction business, and working closely with the MD, this is a varied role with hands on responsibility for many aspects of finance, including preparation of management accounts for several entities. Key Accountabilities Responsibility for producing the monthly accounts for multiple entities within the group. PandL production, balancesheet reconciliations, accruals/prepayments, journal adjustments Supporting the Head of Finance with the month end close for the core business (and largest entity). Reconciling the cash books Bank reconciliations Compiling CIS returns and liaising with HMRC. VAT returns and submissions Supervising/managing members of the transactional team Support the Purchase ledger and sales ledger team where required, especially with regards to query resolution and process improvement Maintaining the Fixed Asset register including calculating depreciation Potential involvement in the budgeting process and Year End depending on your ambitions Opportunity to use initiative, streamline processes and really make this job your own Experience Required The ideal candidate will be a Part Qualified or Qualified accountant with recent exposure to the construction sector.
