Our client, a leading organisation within the technology and communications sector, is hiring a Management Accountant to support a key business division and provide insightful financial reporting, analysis, and business partnering.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, influence commercial decision-making, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance, reporting accuracy, and forecasting processes.
What you''ll do
- Produce monthly management accounts, including accounting adjustments and analysis
- Prepare management information packs with detailed variance analysis and commentary
- Ensure financial data is accurate and compliant with accounting standards
- Partner with senior stakeholders to explain financial performance against budget and forecast
- Identify opportunities for growth, cost savings, and operational efficiencies
- Review and improve financial processes and controls
- Support financial aspects of software implementations and business change projects
- Assist with the integration of acquisitions into the wider organisation
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
You''ll work closely with senior finance leaders, operational stakeholders, and commercial teams to provide meaningful financial insight that supports strategic decision-making.
What we''re looking for
- Strong understanding of accruals, prepayments, deferred income, and management accounting principles
- Previous experience producing management accounts and financial analysis
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of NetSuite, Power BI, or PowerPoint would be advantageous
- AAT qualified or studying towards CIMA/ACCA would be beneficial
