Management Accountant

Boutique firm of chartered accountants based in London have a job vacancy for an AAT qualified or Qualified by Experience management account / business services accountant. This firm are long established and boast an interesting and varied client base. You will be working in a small but close knit team providing maangement accounts, VAT and some year end accounts to a portfolio of clients.

The Role

Prepare and review management accounts and statutory accountsPrepare and review VAT Returns, including an understanding of partial exemption rules.Delegating, supervising, and reviewing the work of junior members of the team, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary, including being involved in development of junior staff.Providing general accounting services and assistance to clients in the preparation of accounts and VAT returns, for example preparing working papers for management or statutory accounts.Recommend improvements to clients'' accounting systems and controls and assist clients whenever needed.Keep Managers and Partners (where necessary) informed of the progress on the team''s jobs.Be able to take ownership of an assignment and see it through to completion with the willingness to solve issues as and when they arise.Keep costs within budget wherever possible and report to the Manager/Partner as soon as agreed time/budget appears to be compromised.Role Requirements

AAT qualified or qualified by experienceExperience of preparing and reviewing management accounts and VAT returnsSome experience of preparing statutory accountsExcellent communication skillsClient facing experienceCompetent user of MS Office including Excel, Word, and OutlookStrong accounting software knowledge and experience - ideally with Quickbooks, Sage and XeroAdvanced Excel skills (desirable)Please get in touch for further information or apply ..... full job details .....
