Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Office-based (Gloucester)
Salary: £42,000 per annum DOE
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
About the Firm: We are working with a well-established, family-orientated accountancy practice who offer a comprehensive support across all areas of accounting, including bookkeeping, tax and VAT returns, tax planning, auditing, and payroll. The client base ranges from sole traders to multi-million-pound corporations, reflecting the breadth and depth of the company''s expertise.
Role Overview: The role supports the growing advisory department by delivering management accounts (monthly and quarterly) for a varied portfolio of local clients, including those in the agricultural and mechanical sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a client-facing role, producing accurate and timely financial reports and can provide meaningful financial analysis that drives business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce management and statutory accounts for a diverse client base.
- Financial planning and to liaise directly with clients, providing advice and support as needed.
- Financial analysis providing variance analysis and performance commentary to help clients with decision making and performance.
- Cross Practice collaboration, maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts throughout the year to ensure a smooth efficient year-end process.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting.
- Software & Systems expertise to use and support clients with cloud accounting software, as well as reporting software. Leverage the reporting tools to create tailored financial reports and forecasts that provide meaningful insights aligned with each clients'' business needs.
- Client relationship management aiming to build strong and long-term relationships with clients, providing value through accurate and timely reporting, coupled with strong financial analysis.
- Competitive salary of up to £38,000 to £42,000.
