The roleAs Management Accountant, you''ll take responsibility for delivering accurate and timely management information while supporting the wider financial operations of the business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Producing budgets, forecasts and cash-flow projections to support business planning.
- Analysing financial performance and providing clear, commercially focused commentary.
- Working with senior stakeholders to identify trends, monitor costs and support informed decision-making.
- Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.
- Managing and developing a small finance team, providing guidance and support with day-to-day activities.
- Supporting year-end processes and liaising on statutory accounting requirements.
- Reviewing existing finance processes and identifying opportunities for greater efficiency through technology, automation and improved reporting.
About youWe''re looking for someone who brings a solid grounding in management accounting, strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in understanding business performance.
You''ll ideally have:
- Experience producing management accounts and financial reports.
- A good understanding of budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with accounting software.
- The ability to interpret financial data and present information to non-finance colleagues.
- Experience supporting or managing other members of a finance team.
- A practical approach to problem-solving and managing competing deadlines.
- An interest in improving financial systems, reporting and processes.
A CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification would be welcomed but is not essential. Relevant experience, technical capability and commercial awareness are the priorities.

- Salary of -40,000 - -45,000 per annum, dependent on experience, pro rata for part-time hours.
- Hybrid working, with an initial expectation of three office days per week, reducing to approximately two once established, typically after six months.
- Full-time hours of 37.5 per week, with part-time arrangements considered from 30 hours.
- Regular interaction with senior leadership and involvement in commercial decision-making.
