Management Accountant

Role SummaryThe Management Accountant will be responsible for month-end reconciliations and accounts payable management while ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role leads a team of 3 skilled Accounts Assistants and is responsible for their day-to-day management and longer-term coaching and development. Here''s what you''ll be getting up to: Line manager of 3 Accounts Assistants focussed primarily on accounts payablePrepare and complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations ensuring any reconciling items are explained and resolved in a timely manner.Weekly and 4 weekly payroll journals plus updating of the Weekly Wage Tracker.Fixed asset acquisition, disposal and depreciation journals.Accruals and Prepayment journals and reconciliations (including stock purchases)Review and adjust general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.Assist with month-end close processes.Generate financial reports to support management decision-making.Monthly update of prompt payments report for submission to groupONS submissions (monthly RSI and quarterly capex)Update PSA data for submission to groupOversee supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations.Prepare aged creditors reports, AP KPIs and assist with cash flow forecasting.Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function.Ensure Compliance with internal procedures and accounting ..... full job details .....
