Job Title: M&E Quantity Surveyor

Project Type: High-Rise Residential
Length: 12 month (Renewable)
Contract Day Rate: £425 – £525 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our client on a high-rise residential project in London. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of the project, with a focus on mechanical and electrical (M&E) installation works
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the commercial management of M&E packages from procurement through to final account.
- Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, and valuations for M&E installation works.
- Assess subcontractor applications and prepare payment notices.
- Lead on procurement of M&E subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Manage variations, claims, and change control processes.
- Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and financial control of project costs.
- Work closely with the project delivery team to ensure commercial and contractual risks are managed.
- Maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships to support successful project outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Background in mechanical and electrical services, specifically on installation projects.
- Track record of working on large-scale residential or high-rise projects.
- Strong understanding of standard forms of contract (NEC, JCT, etc.).
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred).
