About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Manager to join our team on a high-profile commercial new build project. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all M&E aspects from installation through to commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

M&E Manager-Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all mechanical and electrical services on site
  • Oversee M&E subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered to specification and programme
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements
  • Monitor progress against programme and report on milestones and risks
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
  • Coordinate with design teams, consultants, and the main contractor
  • Lead commissioning, testing, and handover processes
  • Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Manage quality assurance and ensure high standards of workmanship
  • Support procurement and value engineering activities

M&E Manager-Requirements

  • Proven experience as an M&E Manager on commercial construction projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent understanding of construction processes and project delivery
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Building Services
  • SMSTS / CSCS card (or equivalent) preferred
