About the Role

We are seeking an experienced M&E Estimator to join our growing team based in Bootle. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in mechanical and electrical estimating to contribute to a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and industrial projects across the North West.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical and electrical packages

• Interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documentation

• Carry out take-offs and pricing using estimating software

• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations

• Conduct site visits and attend pre- and post-tender meetings

• Identify value engineering opportunities

• Produce detailed tender submissions and cost breakdowns

• Liaise closely with project managers, design teams, and clients

Requirements

• Proven experience as an M&E Estimator within building services

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office packages

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills

• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills

• Full UK driving licence (preferred)

Desirable

• HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services Engineering or related discipline

• Experience working on projects in healthcare, education, commercial, or residential sectors

• Knowledge of current building regulations and industry standards
