M&E Engineer (Gas & Water) - Essex - Council - £450 per day

I''m working with a Client-who is looking to bring in an Interim M&E Engineer (Gas & Water) for a Council in Essex on a 12-month contract paying -450 per day.

The position will involve supporting gas, heating, hot water and water hygiene compliance across the council''s housing stock, including:

• Carrying out pre and post inspections, site surveys and quality checks
• Monitoring contractor performance, KPIs and completed works
• Supporting the supervision of two inspectors
• Providing technical guidance and escalating compliance risks where necessary
• Reviewing specifications, technical documents and contractor submissions
• Ensuring works are delivered in line with gas safety, water hygiene, health & safety and contractual requirements

To be considered, you''ll need:

• ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1 or CKR1)
• Experience within gas and water compliance, ideally in social housing or the public sector
• A strong background in contractor management, inspections and compliance reporting
• Knowledge of Gas Safety Regulations, CDM 2015 and contractor compliance standards
• Gas Safe registration (CSCS would be advantageous)
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
