M&E Engineer

I am currently-seeking an experienced and reliable M&E Engineer to join our team on an ongoing contract basis, supporting commercial building maintenance in the York area. The role involves both mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault finding, and reactive repairs within a range of commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities of the M&E Engineer:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks on M&E systems.

• Diagnose and repair faults on HVAC systems, electrical circuits, pumps, motors, and general building services.

• Complete site reports and communicate effectively with clients and site managers.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company procedures.

Requirements of the M&E Engineer:

• Proven experience in M&E maintenance within commercial buildings.

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical Installations, 17th/18th Edition).

• Full UK driving licence (desirable).

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
