About the Role
As a Mammographer in Harrow, you will deliver high-quality mammography imaging services across a 22.50-hour weekly schedule. About the Role:
As a Mammographer, you will deliver high quality mammography imaging services to patients, supporting their diagnosis, treatment and recovery across a variety of clinical specialities. You will work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide precise, patient-centred care while upholding the highest professional standards. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Performing mammography imaging examinations to a high clinical standard
· Positioning patients accurately to obtain optimal quality images
· Monitoring patient comfort and response throughout the examination
· Maintaining detailed and accurate records of examinations performed
· Ensuring correct use and calibration of mammography equipment
· Providing support and reassurance to patients before, during and after examinations
· Collaborating with radiologists, breast care nurses, and other healthcare professionals
· Participating in quality assurance and safety procedures
· Assisting in the education and training of junior staff and students
· Keeping up to date with advancements in mammography techniques and equipment
Who We Are Looking For:
- Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Diagnostic Radiography with mammography training, or equivalent recognised qualification
· Typically, 2 or more years of experience working as a Mammographer within a clinical or hospital environment
Skills:
- In-depth understanding of breast screening and mammography principles
· Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
· Proficiency with mammography imaging systems and equipment
· Excellent communication and patient care skills
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
· Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
