Male SEN Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dedicated Male Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and well-resourced school in South Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate professional to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.You will be working within a specialist SEN environment supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. A male Learning Support Assistant is specifically sought to meet the pastoral and safeguarding needs of the student.Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needsImplement and follow individual Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans and personalised support strategiesDeploy proactive and de-escalation-based behaviour management techniques to manage and reduce challenging behaviourAct as a positive, stable, and consistent male role model for studentsWork collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and the wider pastoral teamBuild trusting, professional relationships with pupils in order to promote engagement and wellbeingSupport pupils with social communication and emotional regulationMaintain accurate records of pupil progress, incidents, and interventionsContribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environmentAssist with personal care and physical support where required and appropriateEssential ..... full job details .....
