Are you a confident, empathetic, and resilient individual passionate about supporting young people with behavioural and emotional challenges£ A specialist school in Windsor (SL4) is seeking a Male Behaviour Mentor to join their team immediately, working with students who require additional support to manage behaviour and develop positive coping strategies.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to students with behavioural and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and encourage positive choices.
- Support emotional regulation and resilience through structured routines and therapeutic approaches.
- Collaborate with teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies to deliver tailored support plans.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment that fosters trust and personal growth.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in behaviour support, youth work, or education settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and manage challenging situations calmly.
- Knowledge of restorative practices, de-escalation techniques, and trauma-informed approaches.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset with a genuine commitment to helping young people succeed.
- Willingness to undertake safeguarding and behaviour management training.
