Makaton Trained Teaching Assistant - SEN School Enfield September 2026Location: Enfield, North LondonJob Type: Full-time, Long-termHours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pmPay: £105 - £120 per day (dependent on experience)Start Date: September 2026Makaton Trained Teaching Assistant RequiredRemedy Education is currently recruiting for a Makaton Trained Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and well-established SEN school in Enfield from September 2026.This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Speech and Language difficulties and complex communication needs. The successful candidate will use Makaton to help pupils develop their communication, confidence and independence, working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.This role would suit someone who is patient, compassionate and passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs.The RoleSupport pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups throughout the school day.Use Makaton to support communication and language development.Assist pupils with Autism and complex communication needs to access learning.Work alongside teachers, Speech and Language Therapists and other professionals.Deliver tailored interventions and communication-based activities.Encourage pupils'' social, emotional and academic development.Promote positive behaviour using consistent and supportive strategies.Support pupils with personal care ..... full job details .....
