Major Works Supervisor (Temp-to-Perm)



North Counties Region | Social Housing Experience (REQUIRED) - Extensive Travel Required | -42,500 + Benefits

PSR Solutions are working with a well-established national contractor to recruit a Major Works Supervisor to oversee a portfolio of planned and major works projects across the North Counties region.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term career prospects with a growing business. Due to the travel requirements of the role, candidates based around Luton and surrounding areas would be ideally located.



The Role

As a Major Works Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of major repairs, refurbishment and specialist works programmes, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will act as the key link between clients, residents, subcontractors and operational teams, ensuring excellent service delivery while maintaining programme and quality objectives.



Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising multiple major works projects across the region
  • Managing subcontractors and direct labour on site
  • Carrying out pre-start, progress and post-completion inspections
  • Monitoring health & safety compliance and site standards
  • Supporting project scheduling and programme delivery
  • Assisting with costings and works valuations using Schedule of Rates (SORs)
  • Liaising with residents, clients and stakeholders throughout project delivery
  • Managing complex repairs and specialist works packages
  • Attending client meetings and providing regular progress updates
  • Conducting quality inspections, sign-off visits and handovers


Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Supervisor, Foreman or Site Management position within planned maintenance, refurbishment, housing, social housing or major works environments
  • Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and site compliance
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multiple workstreams
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Ability to work independently across a geographically spread patch
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the North Counties region
