Job Role: Major Projects Estimator - ConstructionJob Location: North Tyneside - 5 days OnsiteInside Ir35Duration: 3 months contract.Rate: GBP 500/DayMajor Projects Estimator Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, cost plans and commercial proposals for major highways and civil engineering projectsDeveloping fully priced Bills of Quantities and/or activity schedulesSupporting governance and approval processes, including commercial and risk inputsReviewing drawings, specifications and data to produce accurate take-offs and cost modelsEngaging with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing for labour, plant, materials and servicesEvaluating tender returns and comparing commercial submissionsSupporting value engineering activity in collaboration with project and delivery teamsAssisting with pricing of variations and compensation events in line with NEC contractsManaging workload effectively to meet bid and pre-construction deadlines Essential experience and skills* A qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar* Proven experience working in an estimating or commercial role within construction or infrastructure* Strong understanding of:o Construction cost planning and estimatingo Bills of Quantities, specifications and contract documentationo Typical construction contract terms and conditionso NEC forms of contract* Ability to build accurate estimates, budgets and commercial proposals* Strong numeracy, literacy and analytical skills* Good ..... full job details .....
