Maintenece technician - Rolling stock
Responsibilities - Ensures work is performed in a safe and effective manner in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974), Electricity at Work Regulations (1989), Railway Group Standards, and relevant ALSTOM Procedures. - Undertake exam based maintenance - Undertake planned and unplanned tasks - Provide technical support to the depot teams in the provision of fault finding expertise and assistance with train repair activities. - Provide diagnostic and repairs on electronics and electrical systems - Have extensive knowledge of 3 phase, single phase and DC power systems and control systems. - Detailed recording of faults, fault reporting, data gathering and verbal communication - Carry out fault finding and investigate intermittent faults on vehicles either on depot or in service. - Carry out Testing and Re-Commissioning activities on vehicles and trains in accordance with pre-written test and commissioning procedures. - Assistance in component change outs, and failure reporting for central systems support and reliability growth teams. - Assist with skills development within depots - Provide on train fault diagnosis/rectification for units in service. - Investigate technical problems as instructed by the project support engineering team. - Partake in gathering required data downloads on critical performance systems. - Undertake test runs to assist in fault finding and resolution of faults, in particular the closeout of repeat failures. - Functionally test train ..... full job details .....
