Maintenance TechnicianSalary: 18.00- 20.00 per hour DOE Hours; Standard Day Shift About the Role We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our engineering and production team.The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a range of manufacturing equipment. You will play an important role in keeping machinery operating safely and efficiently, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvements across the site.This is a practical role suited to someone with strong mechanical maintenance experience who enjoys problem-solving and getting involved on the shop floor. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on a range of machinery.Maintain and repair equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, furnaces and wire-making lines.Support the mechanical assembly and installation of bespoke welding machines.Assist with managing the site maintenance schedule to help minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.Identify and implement opportunities to improve machinery, equipment and production processes.Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs in a timely manner.Work closely with the Maintenance and Production teams to ensure equipment is safe, reliable and fit for purpose.Maintain a safe and organised working environment, following relevant health and safety procedures.
